Invisible Men

Following in the footsteps of the original Invisible Men Project, CATWA have made the following reviews available to the public from an Australian website documenting men’s reviews of prostituted women and brothels. The following 150 reviews are from licensed brothels throughout Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland – states which either have prostitution partially legalised or fully decriminalised. As you go through the reviews and reply posts, we ask you to make up your own minds about the content. Is this simply “a job like any other”, or are women in prostitution subject to men’s violence in a number of forms?

All women mentioned in the reviews have had their names changed to protect their identities.

The reviews were collated in 2016 and are broken down by state. These are not specifically selected reviews, they are from the five brothels with the most recent posts (for each state) and then the top ten posts with the most replies for each of the five brothels. This should give readers a ‘snapshot’ of what is being said on the site about legal brothels in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
